   DirectBus : Distributed reduced cost field bus system for industrial automation. 

DirectBus is optimized for distributed configurations, can be connected  with a practically unlimited number of intelligent modules-sensors  without the need of repeaters, through a common, long utp or ftp cable.

DirectBus is centrally controlled by a pc computer through a series or USB port. All the timing, handling and control is performed by the central computer via the first specialized DirectBus driver module.

The intelligent modules are sequentially  addressed in each sampling cycle.

The  DirectBus  software is developed for Windows platforms, and transfers data to and from the bus through a DDE, using the client-server function mode for any application program.

DirectBus  is transparent for the user. Every module is declared to the system at the installation, and the DirectBus driver assigns a unique physical address to it. 

Module identification and status is performed in every cycle before the exchange of data in a hybrid hardware and software mode so that the Information throughput remains high. 

Being centrally driven and controlled by a computer, networking, high level programming, monitoring and all the other  existing facilities in a Windows environment  are available ex-officio.
